I think we should be careful about some of the words thrown around, though; ad hominem attacks are not necessary.
An ad hominem attack assumes that the argument, not the person, is what is in question. In this case I would say that the issue IS the person. I personally think that this guy is doing this purposely to get some kind of retirement benefit but that is just my opinion. I don't think anyone could take the claim seriously enough to argue the claim vs. the person making it. If this guy is actually so disturbed that he REALLY thinks what he is saying is true, then I withdraw my "Freak" comment and will just feel sorry for him...but he should be a minimum of 1 mile away from ANY aircraft.
