So I sign onto the CO website to review upcoming flights and check for upgrades, as I often do in the wee hours. Lo and behold, four separate itineraries have either been cancelled or don't exist.
1) RT EWR - ORD 3/8 - 3/11 for the wife and me (separate bookings in the BF cabin):
2) RT EWR - LAX 4/22 - 4/28 for the wife and me (separate bookings, waitlisted for mileage upgrades):
Of course, a quick call to the Elite Line, answered immediately because it's 1am, provides comfort and relief. The CO Rep actually sees everything normal and properly confirmed at her end and can't understand my trepidation. However, when she checks with the Electronic Desk (where the Rep logs in via the internet, the same I as did), she is told that "Yes" my reservations are indeed cancelled and/or non-existent --- via the internet, that is.
The CO Rep assures me that our reservations will be honored. Should I trust CO? [Incidentally, she generated several screen prints and is forwarding them to the software people.]
