Schwab Visa will charge 2% effective May 1.
Received notice in mail today - the card is now operated by FIA (is it a subdivision of MBNA, and now BofA?) and there are a whole bunch of changes of Ts & Cs - since we never carry any balance, the only change that is relevant to us is the Foreign Transaction fee - effective May 1 it is 2%. I am not sure if that means the total charge will be 3% as Schwab CSR told me last month they changed from no fee to 1% last November. It probably is built in the FX rate as I used it to buy airline tickets from VirginBlue Australia in January, and there was no separate fee listed. The FX rate was close enough that I did not notice the 1%.
Edit: Updated Wiki for the new charge.
