I received a call this morning regarding my 6:05 flight to SEA this evening. Apparently they were just calling to let me know that it is windy at EWR and that my flight might be delayed. I received it as a message and called backto ask if there was anything I was supposed to do about it. The CSR I spoke with said nope, that they were just calling to let me know. At the time (and now still) the flight is not delayed and they didn't offer me to move to the earlier flight (I can't, and I don't want to give up my transcon EUA anyways) or anything else. Just to let me know that it is windy.

Has anyone else received a call like that ever? It seems a little strange, to say the least.
