Have just called MR in the US about some issues that I have as my 2 purchases of 99k have not hit my account as yet. They were on the 28/2 and 4/3. They reckon that they have an issue with the Points.com server and the transactions are queued. I did ask them to confirm that all purchases would be honoured and he confirmed this. So therefore I may wrongly assume that if you make a purchase upto the 7/3 then Marriott will honour these on the current no limits rate. Here's hoping.
