not to be rude to kiwis (am from western norway, and been both places) is it worth it? i'd say no.

skiiing is way better on south island NZ... beer is cheaper as well.

Lots of other places to see in NZ, out of aukland, i'd recomenf bay of islands and the northern tip of north island
