I was told it would take about 48 hours to show in my MP account, and after that, I could call to change seats. I was calling to see if the agent could tell me whether better seats would be available on specific flights, and she said she was not able to access that info on her computer. She said I'd have to buy, call to check, and then cancel if I didn't like the seat selection at that point.
