Hi all, I have two questions (though one's just more a clarification as I'm pretty sure I've already found the answer)

1) Can miles from any skyteam airline be used for an award ticket on any other skyteam airline? E.g., can I use 25,000 Continental miles to get a r/t domestic flight on delta, and not just code-shared flights? (or Northwest, Air France, etc.). And can upgrades only be obtained with miles with the airline you've actually accrued miles with?

2) I will be flying ATL-DTW-CDG this coming November on a student fare (purchased through studentuniverse.com)... Will I be able to earn miles (on CO) for this trip?
