Yes, it was one of those announcements that got EVERYONE'S attention - and laughter.

Funny, too, because when I went to get my new BP from the GA the guy in front of me had been on the HNL-LAX leg and wanted to confirm that his dog had been taken off the plane in LAX and not sent onward to JFK. But this guy's dog was checked, not a carryon. (and yes, AA ground crew confirmed it made it off the plane)

I guess that plane just had bad dog karma.
