Staff can be indifferent. But the hotel is a great retreat. Highly recommend a rental car. Near El Junque. Decent rooms, great views, nice beach, good club lounge. As a platinum, you will get an ocean view room. Good shot at a suite, some of which are huge. Honestly, unless you need to be carried on a silver platter and want someone to remember your name each time they see you, you will be pleased with the property. It is a solid resort -- just not the Four Seasons.
i couldn't disagree more....but, to each his own. as someone that has been to puerto rico over 40 times in his life, my advice would be to stay elsewhere.
remember, this is a resort basically built at the foot of a rainforest. so, don't expect consistently great weather. it won't rain the whole time, but i am amazed they built a resort where they did.
it is basically used for corporate off-sites as there is a ton of meeting space. service is unbelievably bad and is directly correlated to their occupancy level. their level of english also depends on how happy you are. the happier you are, the more english they understand.
a rental car is a must.
