I fly on the DC10-30 regularly. I always get seat 22H, best coach seat by far. 22A and 22J are pretty bad, with the slide poking into your knees. If you and your wife like to snuggle, than it may not be that bad. The person in that seat definitely needs to sit at an angle. If I had my choice between 22A/J and the seat behind it, I’d probably still pick 22A/J. You may get sympathy “gifts” from the FA’s too…I’ve seen that a few times.
