It has certainly caused some concern over on the BA Board...as I'm sure you are well aware!
I e-mailed the Marriott Rewards team and they could not provide any confirmation of this change to the T&C's...I'm mucking fuddled.
Strange that the e-mail department of Marriott Rewards couldn't confirm the new point purchase information. But, yes, there is going to be a change, and the information has not yet been updated on the website (technically, it's not even supposed to be general public knowledge yet).
