Hard to believe this is all worth the trouble for Coke. I would think that the small number of people who might buy MORE Coke based on this promo is more than offset by the administrative costs and prizes awarded.
I think you would be suprised, otherwise they would have stopped this when it was first scheduled to end... instead of extending it twice.... not to mention its a drop in the bucket for all the promotional money coke is spending...
If you think about it, if someone likes Coke AND Pepsi, they are the same price and they are saving Coke Products, they may be MUCH more likely to buy Coke at this time.... just as many of us will use a certain credit card or hotel chain if there is a promo that we want to take advantage of.
Coke wins by having the consumer pick its product and not drink Pepsi.
