I just read the following in the ROP March newsletter :

" When travelling in business or first class and departing from any airport in the UK or France , additional taxes are imposed on all passengers , including if you are travelling on a Start Allainec award".

I assume this refers to the "Chirac tax " for African countries.
I will be travelling soon BKK-CDG in First and would like to know what is the amount of the tax for 1st class passengers? Apparently you pay it upon check in, but do you have to pay cash?
