I'll gladly repeat that… There are some exceptions (e.g. ITB or Grüne Woche) but normally prices are pretty good in Berlin compared to other cities in Europe.

BTW Berlin during fairs is nothing compared to Frankfurt: have you ever tried to get a hotel while the Buchmesse is in town?

But for sure you are right that it can be expensive sometimes…
