My guess is that the agent you met at the door is a BR (Eva Air) agent, and not a VS agent. You can tell from the uniform they wear. You must also have arrived at the VS lounge before 5.30pm. The VSCH in HKG is "shared" with BR. It appears that the BR agent are not trained to handle events out of the norm, like a SQ passenger flying F or C; or Y pax having PPS or KFEG status appearing at the door. I was even told by the BR agent to use the SKL! I told her that I am entitle to use the lounge by virtue of my SQ C BP, and ask her to check with her supervisor. She made a phone call and guess what, the VS agent came out and usher me into the lounge after taking down my SQ BP details. She was apparently helping out at the bar area as the VS flights are not open for check-in yet, and according to her, not many SQ pax make the effort to travel all the way to the VSCH.
