Not so long ago, I flew KUL JNB on MH. The flight was delayed from a midnight departure to a noon departure (communicated to passengers well in advance and hotel accommodation arranged) and as such it was a daylight flight similar to KLM's JNB departure, but with a bit of a shorter stage length than AMS JNB. Here is what we were served:
MH202 KUL JNB CPT EZE
Malaysian Satay
Our famous charcoal grilled chicken and beef skewers topped with spicy peanut sauce
or
Hors D'Oeuvre Deluxe of Marinated Prawn Tails
***
Soup
Creamy Tomato and Pepper Soup with Diced Vegetables and Cheese Crouton
***
Seasonal Salad
***
Choice of Main Courses
Pan Fried Chilean Salmon Fillet with Lemon Thyme Sauce
or
Grilled Supreme of Chicken
or
Lamb Masala Curry
or
Beef and Ricotta Ravioli with Cheese Sauce
***
International Cheese Plate
***
Dulce de Leche Cake
or
Ice Cream
with coffee and chocolate truffle
At average fares lower than those of KLM, I believe that latter can learn a thing or two about properly feeding its passengers.
