Why doesn't Marriott think I'm special?

I wish Marriott would do something to recognize travelers who lead small groups. I stay in hotels for work around 45 nights every year, but I always book at least three rooms. Over the past year I have stayed 47 nights, but paid for 222, because of multiple rooms. I don't always stay at Marriott, because w/out gold, they really don't do a thing to attract my business. Despite this, I've got 17 nights stayed and over 100 paid at Marriotts in the past year. Each night I choose to stay elsewhere, Marriott loses revenue from at least three rooms.

It would be very different if someone else were taking the nights/points from my additional rooms, but they're not. Everything is paid on my credit card and booked under my name. So...

Does anyone know of a way to help someone in my position qualify for gold? Given how much I spend w/ Marriott, it seems lame that I can't even score a free CL breakfast.

Failing that, does anyone know of a decent chain that would be more interested in my business (interested enough to do something to earn my business)?
