No fees? I don't think so! They just didn't tell you what the fees were. You will be physically sick when you figure out how much Western Union charged you...

Compare the amount on your statement against the amount you got in NZ$ and then look up the exchange rate for that day on http://www.x-rates.com/ (deduct 2% for the standard Amex forex fee) and see how much they took you for.

I'd be willing to bet that it was 10-15% of your transaction.
