I was offered this upgrade at the time of purchasing the ticket online (not check-in). They gave me 5 minutes to take the offer and I did!

The upgrade was on my LHR-IAD 777 return leg and not available on my 767 IAD-LHR outbound leg, probably due to the smaller plane and availability.
If this is a pilot, I hope they fully implement this.
