Seriously. I got a general member kit (for ANA) quicker than my 1K kit (2 weeks from last month's enrollment to the card in my mailbox). It looked nicer, had a more personal welcome, and was professional in appearance.

As for the card itself, I dug up a bunch of cards to show my coworkers, and guess which one came in last place for looks? The 1K card. "Looked cheap" was an understatement.

The rankings were: Avis general - NH general - HH Gold - AA Gold (old) - Ameniti (old) - US general - UA 2P (old) - UA 1K
