Get a Panasonic Y5 - the European version. Has a 14" screen and core 1.6Ghz Duo CPU at just 3.4 lbs.

The Euro/US version comes with WWAN but has a DVD-reader/CD-writer, whereas the Japanese version has no WWAN, but includes a full DVD-writer. Why they did this, I have no idea.

I can vouch for these things, they are fantastic. Really well built, although not cheap. I have had the Japanese version of their W5 (12" screen at 2.64 lbs) for a while and just sold it to get the Y5 instead because of the bigger screen.

I would have recommended that to you but the W5 has a 1.2 Ghx core solo, which would not be faster than what you have.
