prior to arrival
Asparagus and Gouda cheese filled omelette
Fresh seasonal fruit plate with creamy yogurt
Be aware that LAX-SYD (don't know about SFO) there is NO CHOICE for breakfast. On Jan 25 (dept. Jan 23) we were offered "Baked Tuscan Frittata" and that was it - no option of the fruit plate they used to have. I was disgusted - both by having no choice and by the actual breakfast. I had a far better economy class breakfast flying QF domestic - cereal plus yoghurt. Why do UA think people only want these "hot" breakfasts - I find all the ones UA offers to be close to inedible. I'd much rather have something simple like cereal - which would be cheaper too I would think (not that cost of breakfast should be a factor in C!)
But a big ^ to the FA who later brought my wife a fruit plate left over from the crew meals. Judging by the contents I'd say this was an F-class fruit plate.
What made the breakfast issue worse for me was the fact that at dinner the night before the "Pan seared filet mignon" was so rare as to be raw! It was inedible. The FA tried to "cook it" longer but that made no difference.
Overall the worst culinary experience I've had on a UA flight of any class.
