Unfortunately, I'm not writing with any ideas on the answer to the question... however, if anyone has thoughts, ... on whether there are predictable patterns found in fare-wars (e.g., seasonal, ...)... I'd be interested in knowing.

In particular, whether conditions are ripe for any fare-war in the "foreseeable future"... would be of special interest.
