Quite right too - there is no need for the Oxford comma if the sentence itself it written in an elegant, flowing manner.

I'm starting up a chapter of Punctuation Rights Activists - we're going to go around with tins of white paint to remove offending punctuation and big, cut-out black commas and apostrophes - sticking them on where required.
