LHR used to be a mess, now it has gotten far worse. Simply put, it is not functional for transit pax. As much as I love BA, all my LHR transits have now been cancelled and I'm flying LH instead for the most part. LHR is that bad! Out of BRU you have to be insane to consider BA, they have a horrible on-time record for BRU-LHR and those flights are often the first to be axed when there is fog or high winds at LHR and they can't accomodate all flights. Esp. as there is non-stop trans-atlantic service from BRU on AA, which is very reliable. Until BAA fixes this problem, BA will suffer -- a lot! But after suffering for a year with this mess, I've taken action and stopped suffering. No more LHR for me until it is fixed. And I say that as someone who has had hundreds of trips through LHR.
