HELP need advice

i am flying from cancun to lax thru atlanta with my wife and 3 children, we are on one reservation

i got a last minute business meeting in orlando scheduled for the day after our scheduled flight, my dilemna

i want to take the flight to cun to atl, with the family, get my wife and kids on the flight to lax, and then fly to my meeting in orlando that very afternoon

my questions

1. will my wife and kids have a problem if i dont join them on the last leg
2. will i get busted as i fly to orlando that very afternoon i am suppossed to fly to lax on the original reservation
3. any other issues to consider
