BUT if you fly BA on J you have access to the fast track and if you do plan accordingly as in not just the one hour of connection time provided for t1 to t1 then that is fine as well.

i have connected through worse airports but yes, if you can get a direct flight it might be preferable as well whatever the mum is up to.
