i have stayed at the novotel (part of the accor chain) at cdg many times. used to be rather cheap when the exchange rate was good but it is still good for the convenience. simple room with full bath and you can reserve with/without a breakfast and absolutely soundproof. it is a 2 minute (if that) walk to the busses which go to all the terminals (just make sure you take the right one-usually one for the u.s flights and one for a/f & and the rest of the terminals). now, if yu can snag a room with a view of the airport....heaven.

total time from leaving my room thru checkout to the bus and into the temrinal 20 mintues at best.

n.b. there are 2 novotels at cdg and make sure you choose the one AT cdg not the one off airport. you want the one with the train station.
