I've been stuck in 1D every time I've flown on an HP 737 (and been upgraded). I've resolved that next time I'm assigned it I'm going to going to ask the GA if I can switch my seat with an elite that might have an exit row seat. At least I can put my feet somewhere there.

There's absolutely no room in that seat and my 6'4" body hates it.
