The sky is under construction
Europe's skies are getting wider
Air Traffic Control Authorities are building a new route network in Europe. The new air lanes will be broader, simpler, and even shorter. However, between February-25-99 and the time the new system takes effect, some temporary bottlenecks may (DID ALREADY THIS THURSDAY/FRIDAY) take effect, especially over Switzerland, France and Benelux, and consequently individual flights may be delayed, or even on occasion be cancelled.
If you are in Switzerland and flying Swissair/Delta/Austrian/Sabena/TAP/Turkish/AOM/Crossair/Lauda/Tyrolean or Air Litteral you can dial 0800 800 570 from 06:30 to 24:00 for last minute detailed information (for swiss pagers there is also an automatic flight pager service).
