Laptops almost certain!

Desktops, especially as cheap as Dell is... NO NO NO!
It needs the auto or manual transformer switch.. similar to other manufacturer's though many have discontinued on their cheap line.
In my opinion.. everything from Dell is a cheap line, aka disposable... but call them and ask.
Monitor.. I'm not even sure its possible, at least a CRT.. possible on an LCD.

I work for a computer reseller.... dump the desktop since the transformer et al, is a pain. As others have posted the laptop should just be a plug conversion. They've gotten cheap enough either buy another laptop or live with that...

As for others that bought laptops in the UK and Ireland and brought them here.. I find it ironic since my friends are begging me to bring them laptops and ipods to save the 15-24% VAT!
