Good idea...they usually like any idea that steers people away from calling. That's probably the best feature about Southwest is how your ticket online, instantly, free of charge. I don't understand why Southwest has been able to offer this "electronic wallet" change and reissue feature for years and the other airlines are so slow to catch on. Of course I don't expect Alaska to get rid of change fees but the e-wallet would be very much appreciated.
I remember something last year about how AS was going to start charging for standby on lower fare buckets but hopefully (YES HOPEFULLY) they abandoned that idea. The charge for standby is my LEAST favorite aspect of Southwest and that's one reason why I would try to book on AS on routes where both they compete. If they want to get rid of 24 hour courtesy hold, that sucks, but I'd rather they did away with that than free standby.
