Many photographers seem to be missing the point that under the new regs, the laptop bag, regardless of size, is gone. One bag with cameras, laptop, lenses, cords, etc. is it. Add to this the reduction in physical size and it has gotten much tougher. If you have to connect via commuter jets, the problem is compounded by the fact that what will fit the EU regs is too large to carry on to the CRJ's, etc. There are only a couple of bags that will work in both instances but you will have to fly on US carriers exclusively because, so far, we don't have the unrealistic carry on weight limitations that are common in the EU.

It does seem like a lot of the airlines and governments have forgotten that a lot of us actually fly to work.
