Its a moot point for the OP, but for future reference for anyone reading this thread, GH actually would probably work for young singles. Not the first choice, to be sure. As Sharon points out, not much in the immediate vacinity, but plenty of pubs, restaurants etc. about a ten minute walk away...primarily in the Mayfair neighborhood on the other side of the U.S. Embassy.
CC remains the ideal choice, however. And if we're talking about Soho, CC would certainly be handy enough via tube or cab.
