It was "laptops out" at the security screen near D1 yesterday evening. Still no signs of any checks for liquids though so the OP will be safe bringing duty free liquids in transit.

Another curious one yesterday was that my leather wallet had to go through the x-ray, even after I'd told the attendant that it didn't contain any metal. However, my big metal watch didn't have to go through the x-ray even though it set off the WTMD. I think Thailand is trying to import security inconsistency from the TSA...
