You should be given a sticker at BKK to wear on you shirt to indicate you are an international pax. When you disembark at HKT you will be directed to the immigrations desk.
Not sure exactly what you mean by overnight connection. No layover is more than three hours. The SQ flight is overnight but it's the last flight out and connects to the first TG flight of the day.
Thanks for the tips on BKK/HKT immigration! Last time I flew to HKT, I originated from BKK so I did not have to clear immigration, although I did see the separate lines for pax arriving from BKK international connections.
