It should not be too hard. Just check the luggage at MSY, and it should somehow make its way to HKT. Assuming that SQ operates similar in SFO as it does at LAX, you will need to get an SQ boarding pass at the SQ check-in counter at SFO. When you are there you have to show them your stub with your checked luggage, and they will located and retag it for the SQ flight. I had a problem with this once, but it turned out fine in the end. Not exactly sure how it will work with your TG connection, sorry.

lucky. The current schedule calls for about three hours in SFO, leaving plenty of time for them to locate the luggage and board it on their aircraft.
Last time I flew SQ was through LAX, actually, but UA issued me a boarding pass for their flight. It was through pure happenstance that I stopped by their counter on the way to the gate, at which point they gave me a new boarding pass. What would happen if a passenger went through to the gate and did not get a new BP (and have their luggage tag checked) until 45 minutes prior to flight?
