After Check-Out??
Here's the situation.
Family visiting for about 5 days. Reservation made at local Hampton Inn. No King bed avail. Spouse has corporate account at spouses company HQ because of amount of business done at the HQ city. Called local Corporate rep to change to King and get corp. rate lower than rate reserved (gov't). Rep said no problem, she'd take care of it. Family comes to check in. Room not available as promised, must be in double Queen room. Manager on site was no help and blamed the corporate rep in front of us and offered no discount, etc. We casually mentioned the boldly placed "100% Satisfaction" signs, and it went in one ear, out the other.
Though the room and stay according to family was fine, the attituded of the manager and front desk personnel were not. We mentioned this on check out, and the young kid at the desk basically stated - oh well, I'll mention it to the boss.
Had to take family to airport and no time to try and get any charges removed. Spouse is DIAMOND, I am nearly there. Like stated, spouses company uses HAMPTON all around the country, and has an account with them near their offices and have a great rate with them.
Is it too late to invoke the 100%?? The manager yelled at employees constantly with customers there, and most of the staff were incompetent, but the facility, breakfast, etc. were OK. Family a bit dissappointed, and avoided the manager during stay.
Thanks for the professional and educated responses.
