How about a 4-6 hour stop in ORD? e.g. get in at 11.30 am and fly out at 5 or 6 pm. That would be a long layover, not really a stop.

I was thinking something like : SFO-BOS-ORD-SFO, with a 4-6 hr stop in ORD.

How do I get the rules for a layover? Is there a limit on how long the layover can last?
