How are the highway signs near Rouses Point? Checking yahoo maps, if I take I-89 North, I would have to cross Lake Champlain via VT-78, US-2, and US-11 towards Champlain, NY in order to get to the I-87 South for Albany. Yahoo maps gives me an estimate of 2 hours just for this portion?!

With Albany, you can't take credit for hitting all 6 NE state capitals in one day.
Well I was partial to Augusta. If I take the Augusta, ME route, then the ideal route would be perhaps:

Providence - Boston - Augusta - Concord - Montpelier - Hartford - Providence.

How are the routes on this system in early March? It seems like I'll have to take I-95 North from Boston to Augusta, and take the I-295 & I-95 South and RT-101 West to the I-93 North for Augusta to Concord.
