First odd thing was that I was not approached by the flight attendant on BRU-FRA who talked to many other passengers about rebookings, and even a direct transfer to the flight to Muenster.
When I went to the closed INN gate, she asked me whether I was Mr SmilingBoy. I saw a list with a couple of names, including mine. I assume short connections. Next to mine, it said "CANX" (or was it "CANXD"). Also, it only said ETIX/FQNTTVL instead of SEN. When she printed the boarding pass, it didn't say SEN.
I got this fixed at the First Class Check-in (after signing up to the automated border control). I asked whether the missing status could have been a reason that they didn't wait for me, and the answer was, possibly.
It appears that lots of flights were delayed, so I can't believe that I am the only one who didn't make it onto the INN flight. I was at the gate at 12:55. Flightstats says that the actual gate departure was at 13:07 and actual runway departure at 13:33. They would not have departed earlier even if they had waited for me.
Listen, LH and OS: For a good customer on a full fare C ticket for nearly 1,500 Euros, I expect a better treatment. Get your IT in order that my status always gets recognised. Please wait for me if I would arrive a minute after you were planning to close the gate - especially if you can't depart for another half an hour due to weather anyway. Get me a direct transfer when it makes sense, and if you get me a transfer, don't close the flight anyway before I am on board (as happened on a BRU-FRA-JNB a bit more than a year ago).
If anybody is in the FRA SEN lounge in B, let me know. I'll be here for the next couple of hours.
Non-Smiling Boy.
Sorry to hear your story, but I know what you are thinking. I also had often troubles with FRA-SZG, when the gate is closed and I can see, that the plane departe half an hour later. Therefore I am looking, if SEN is printed on the BP. Mostly it will helps on getting an upgrade, when you fly Y.
