I've got a shorthaul sector coming up in cheapo Eurotraveller but I'm thinking about jacking it in and going on hols longhaul.

The cost isn't too much if I lose the cash on the non-refundable shorthaul, but out of interest has anyone had any luck in asking BA to credit the cost of a non-refundable ticket towards another flight which you'd be doing at the same time as and in place of the original non-refundable ticket?
