Has anyone ever responded to a screener who says that something is "illegal", that it is, in fact, not illegal, but rather against a regulation? Not that many of them would know the difference and I'm sure you'd then be asked if you want to fly, which is also against regulations....and on and on it goes, where the nonsense stops, nobody knows.
