The reason for my confusion is that the MAN to MCO route does not appear on Singapore Airline's website as a timetabled route but Manchester airport's timetable clearly shows a Singapore Airways codeshare.

The long answer is found on the EuroBonus page on the SAS site.

That 'operated on behalf' is basically what a codeshare is.
