You guys aren't cynical enough. Ofcourse, top score wins 1st prize. I think they selected 83rd place to keep people around. You know the rules-"Must be present to win." I have walked out on many a tournament after a dismal score. There is a lot of competition in Vegas and they want people to gamble in their casino until winners are annouced.

In this example, you have no idea where you fit in-you might be 83rd.
