Correct! The press about THAI and anything to do with aviation in Thailand is very unreliable. I've once heard they were closing down New Bangkok Suvarhabhumi Airport but now they've decided to keep it open.

I've just flown out of Suvarnabhumi and it was flawless (at least in the parts that THAI uses i.e. premium check-in, lounges and concourse C gates).
