I often ask for a late checkout, particularly in Hawaii, and get it. In Oct we got a 7pm check out

Mary, I also used to be under the impression that 4 pm checkout was a Diamond benefit until someone pointed out in a discussion last year that it is not listed under the Diamond benefits. Is it possible that it once was many years ago, but quietly disappeared? Or was I just delirious all those years?
When we last stayed in Kauai a couple years ago, we had a 9:00 PM flight home and asked for a late checkout. We were told we could stay until 3:00 pm, but had to pay a half day charge for staying beyond that. We'll be back in Kauai for a week in April, also returning on a 9:00 PM redeye. Hope they'll let us stay until 6 or 7 pm too!
