High floor, king bed, and fridge are the important ones to me. Ironically, a week ago when I checked in I reminded the clerk that I would like a high floor, if possible. He said that he had me on the 8th as that was the highest he had available. I said that would be fine (this full service Marriot only has 10 and I knew I wouldn't get the CL). When I inquired about the fridge he said they were now charging $10 for a refridgerator so I told him to keep it, although I said I found that odd as I had been at the same hotel two weeks before and it was free. (In fact then I was asked if I wanted one and the staff followed me to the room to install it immediately. I do find it odd that they brag about having just spent $10M rennovating and they couldn't find another $50 per room for refridgerators in each.)
Anyway, upon getting to my room I find that I have two double beds. Back down to the front desk I go. Original clerk was busy, so I speak to another who tells me, "That is no problem sir, I will move you". Funny thing is she apologizes because I have to move UP a floor to the 9th when the 8th was the highest available five minutes earlier.
