I'd also agree with the idea of taking the train. With a 5:15 arrival, you should be able to get the 07:30 departure out of London St Pancras and be in Nottingham by 09:26 or the 07:55 and get in at 09:36 ( assuming its a weekday ) before the Manchester flight has even arrived
